Hydroplus killed two birds with one stone with its patented Fusegate® System technology at Newmont Boddington Gold mine.

Hydroplus embarked on its first contract with a mining client to increase the storage capacity of two dams by 1.2 Mm3 (+25%), thereby boosting the production.

One challenge of the contract involved replacing a deficient rubber dam with Fusegates.

Design, construction and installation of the system were covered in 12 months.
